Advanced Level Religious Knowledge
1 session of 1.5 hours weekly
The aim of this course is to:
- Develop a greater appreciation of the role of Religion in human experience
- Have a more objective and coherent grasp of the Catholic Tradition and its sources
- Have the ability to relate the Christian message to the basic personal experiences and to the demands of a modern / postmodern culture
- Develop a critical and inquiring approach to religion
- Situate the specificity of the Christian religion in the context of an ecumenical and multi-faith world.
The Religious Knowledge Advanced Examination is made up of two papers. The content includes:
- The Christian Bible
- The Creed
- Liturgy and the Sacraments
- Christian Morality
