Intermediate Level Psychology
1 session of 1.5 hours weekly
The aims of the syllabus are to lead students to:
- an appreciation of a wide spectrum of aspects and schools of psychology;
- an ability to learn from research and be familiar with research methods;
- an opportunity to learn from observation, application and experience;
- foster a culture of reflection both on inner process and attitude in relation to self and others.
The Psychology subject content is divided into the following modules:
- Module 1: What is Psychology?
- Module 2: Major Approaches in Psychology
- Module 3: Development and Observing Human Behaviour: Reflexivity and Process Awareness
- Module 4: Psychological Disorders
- Module 5: Themes in Psychology
