Intermediate Level Computing
1 session of 1.5 hours weekly
This course will enable the students to deepen their to deepen their understanding of computing, to give a basic understanding of both the theory and techniques used in computing, together with the ability to use a programming language and basic application packages in practical situations.
The Computing Intermediate Examination is made up of one paper and a school-based programming assignment. The content includes:
Basic Computing Concepts
- Digital Logic
- Computer Architecture and Assembly Language
- Operating Systems
- Networking and Communications
- High Level Language Programming and Systems Design
- Databases and Database Management Systems
